2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

This is what we need. Repentance. The repentance of HIS people, not the world’s. Me. You. We are the ones that need to repent. 

Then, we need the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego when they said to King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 3:17-18 (NKJV), “...our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver [us] from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

Whether our land is healed or not, we must serve Him first. He is our only hope. He is our only salvation.

I must confess that my hope is waning. I see the forces that are aligned against us and I begin to falter. I see the ignorance of my neighbors and possibly their duplicitous nature and I feel despair slipping its blade between my ribs. Instead of a vast cloud of witnesses cheering us on, I see a vast array of adversaries bent on our destruction. 

Oh LORD, open my eyes!! Let me see Your salvation thundering down from the mountains of Your Holiness!! Show me Your mighty hand that will sweep Your enemies from the land like pieces off a game board!! Restore my faith in You, the God of my fathers! Without You, my heart fails me and I stumble to my knees!

But on my knees is where I find You and Your living waters that refresh my soul, bringing strength to my arm, and filling my eyes with Your Goodness and Mercy!! It is here that I am reminded of Your mighty Love! Thank You!! Thank You!! THANK YOU!!

All praise and glory and honor belong to You O LORD!! Forever and ever You will reign in perfect Love and Justice! Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, the creator of my soul!! Amen!
